Stress Relieving

During the manufacturing process, parts go through an extreme amount of stress. Welding, rolling, machining, cutting, or anything that moves metal will cause stress. Stress relieving the part will help avoid distortion and cracking in the material. Typically, the parts that benefit the most from stress relieving are large and complex weldments, machined parts, and parts with dimensional tolerances.
